Rocket Club Rental Subscription Agreement

Consumer hire agreement — updated 7 October 2026

Welcome to Rocket Club. Enjoy a Rocket espresso machine and grinder on rental, speciality coffee delivered monthly and help from our UK team.

Please read these terms and the Rocket Club FAQs before joining. By subscribing, you agree to be bound by these terms and this consumer hire agreement. Keep a copy for your records.

1. Your package

Your agreement is with Club Espresso Ltd, trading as Rocket Club, a subsidiary of Cortado Group Ltd.

For £75 per month, your package includes £50 equipment rental, including VAT, for a Black/Black Rocket Appartamento TCA and black Faustino grinder, plus £25 for 1kg of speciality Rocket coffee monthly. Coffee beans are zero-rated for VAT.

Choose your coffee before checkout and change future selections before the next order is processed.

Rocket Club is one complete £75/month package: machine and grinder rental plus a subscription for 1kg of beans each month, with a 12-month minimum term. Both parts are required. Orders without the beans subscription will not be fulfilled, or will be cancelled and refunded if checkout is completed without the full package being ordered.

You must be at least 18 and provide accurate delivery and payment details. We’ll confirm acceptance, delivery arrangements and payment dates in writing. If we decline your application, we’ll refund payments taken.

2. Term and payments

This is a consumer hire agreement with a 12-month minimum from equipment delivery, followed by rolling monthly rental until cancelled with 30 days’ written notice.

Your first £75 payment is taken at sign-up and covers the first rental month. Your second payment is due one calendar month after equipment delivery, then monthly. Delivery delays won’t create extra rental months before delivery.

We carry out a soft credit check as part of your application. This does not affect your credit score. Your subscription is subject to approval.

You authorise recurring payments and must keep your payment details current. Cancelling a payment method does not cancel the agreement or remove payments properly due.

The standard price will not increase during the minimum term without your agreement, except where legally required. Afterwards, we’ll give at least 30 days’ notice of an increase, allowing cancellation before it takes effect.

3. No equipment ownership

The machine and grinder remain the property of Club Espresso Ltd. This is not hire purchase: there is no buyout option or ownership transfer, and payments do not count towards buying the equipment.

Equipment is for domestic use only. You must not sell, pledge, lend, sublet or transfer it without written permission. Contact us before relocating it.

4. Care and support

Follow Rocket’s operating and care instructions, clean the equipment regularly and use suitable low-mineral water, such as appropriately filtered water or suitable bottled water. Not all filters reduce hardness. Routine cleaning, filters and consumables are your responsibility; annual servicing is not automatically included.

For a covered fault, we’ll arrange repair or like-for-like replacement without charge, through an engineer visit or collection to our service centre and return. Replacements may be professionally refurbished, remain our property and do not restart your minimum term. A materially different replacement requires your agreement.

Contact us promptly about faults and stop using unsafe equipment. If a covered fault prevents use, we’ll discuss an appropriate rental adjustment or remedy.

We allow fair wear and tear. Misuse, unsuitable water, limescale, accidental damage, missing items or unauthorised repairs may result in reasonable charges. We’ll explain the cause and amount and obtain agreement before chargeable repairs. Loss or damage charges take account of equipment age, condition and amounts recovered.

Find practical guidance in our FAQs and at Rocket at Home.

5. Cancellation and returns

After the minimum 12 months term, give 30 days’ written notice by email. Notice may be given earlier if the end date is no earlier than the end of the minimum term and allows the required notice.

We’ll confirm the end date, final account and return arrangements. Unused rental payments will be adjusted proportionately; coffee bean charges reflect deliveries supplied or properly committed.

Return both the machine and grinder, with any accessories identified for return. Follow our packing instructions, empty the water tank and remove beans. Please keep the orginal machine and grinder boxes for when you return the equipment. Please repackage in the original boxes it came with to ensure safe transport. If you discard these boxes we can supply replacement ones for the cost of £25 which will be sent to you in advance of the collection date so you can repackage securely. Once you request cancellation/return, we will contact you to arrange collection, which costs £25 and will be charged to your account. Our collection partner APC will send you collection details by email.

You’re responsible for damage caused by inadequate care or failure to follow reasonable packing instructions, but not for our collection carrier’s acts. Our collection delays won’t extend charges where equipment is ready as agreed.

Failure to return equipment may lead to lawful recovery and reasonable loss or recovery charges.

After cancellation following the minimum term, you must wait six months after we receive both items before another Rocket Club equipment rental, regardless of how long you rented. Fault repairs and replacements do not trigger this rule.

Under our change-of-mind policy, notify us within 14 calendar days of ordering and return both items unopened and unused in their original packaging. Contact us for return instructions.

If opened or used, the 12-month minimum applies. Your statutory cancellation and faulty-equipment rights remain unaffected.

6. Missed payments and recovery

Please contact us promptly if you’re struggling to pay—we’ll discuss reasonable arrangements.

Unpaid amounts or unreturned equipment may be referred to an appropriately authorised collection or recovery agency, or pursued through lawful legal action, after required notices and consideration of your circumstances.

Where legally recoverable, you may be responsible for reasonable, necessary recovery costs, including agency charges and court costs. We’ll explain their basis and amount, taking account of equipment or money recovered.

No automatic penalty applies. We won’t recover the same loss twice, or charge for future coffee beans not supplied.

7. Your rights and contact

Your statutory rights remain protected. Personal information is handled under our privacy notice. Changes to these terms do not automatically change existing agreements. For help or cancellation, email support@rocket-espresso.co.uk.
